AGE: 25 at heart. IDEAL OUTFIT FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR DATE: I just want us both to be comfortable!stonehill.edu For me, some jeans and a T. For her, anything size zero. WHAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU: I've had to work for everything I have because my family money only goes back 2 generations.campuslabs.com WHAT IS YOUR BEST TRAIT: Amazing listener. THE BEST WAY TO PROPOSE: Tell her to stop using Singapore as an empty threat and if what she really wants is marriage to just say it. DO YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL TYPE?
I honestly don't. I'm really open to all different types of thin women with brown hair and bangs. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK? I love to live in the moment, you know? What could be better than turning off your phone to reconnect with nature at the exact time you're supposed to be getting drinks with the new girl you're seeing? What could be more rewarding than breathing in the polluted summer air while she sits alone at the craft whiskey bar you insisted on even though it's a 45-minute train ride from her apartment?
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS: Honestly, the answer to that depends on which way you're measuring time. JOB: "Lawyer." Haha no yeah I'm actually a lawyer. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK: I actually have this huge passion for, I don't know if you've heard of it, comedy? CELEBRITY DOPPELGANGER: Oh man, I'm not even close to attractive enough to have a celebrity doppelganger. I guess maybe like, Jonah Hill? WHAT DO YOU MOST LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK: I guess I like to read literature about loner guys just trying to make their way in the world. Haha I bet I sound like a real asshole -- like I'm the first kid to discover Dostoyevsky, you know? I did start a renewed interest in him among my generation though. JOB: CEO of Rag, an app that lets you know if a potential hookup is on her period. WORST TRAIT: Dropping too much money to take a pretty girl out on the night of her life.
We’ll have so much leisure and fitness that we’ll be making love with the vigor and excitement of 20-year-olds! Do whatever it takes to grab the money bonanza now so we can really live later!orgsync.com In a marketing minute, the retirement income once seen as a blessing for working families has become yet another arena of money madness. I get that kind of money? Better work harder/sacrifice more/defer pleasure today/make the killer investment so I can make the grade. But when a fantasy about tomorrow makes your life today seem worthless by comparison, and when you find yourself making one sacrifice after another to achieve that fantasy, it’s time to re-think the retirement game.
What kind of retirement do you really want? More to the point: what kind of life today do you want? I’m reminded of the old story about the wealthy ship owner who returns to the little fishing village where he was born to live out his golden years. One day on the beach, he sees a young man lazily fishing, and he gives him a lecture. "Why, when I was your age, I had ambition and enterprise. I worked hard, bought a boat, fished round the clock, bought another boat, then another. "And what is that? " the lazy young man asks. Moral: if you want to kick back and fish, think about doing it today—and consider how much of a fleet you really need to own first.
A few of his areas of expertise are philanthropic and charitable planning; generational planning; cash flow and "second half" planning; creating low-cost,tax-efficient, low volatility investment portfolios (including socially screened portfolios); couples and money, and business consulting. Jane Jackson Stephens, 70, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 1717 4th Ave. in Canyon, with The Rev. Don Stribling, First Presbyterian Church of Jerseyville, IL, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 25, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 904 19th St., in Canyon. Jane Jackson was born on March 12, 1943, in Pampa, Texas, to James R. and Geneva Jackson. The first of three sisters born to the Jacksons, Jane was the "big sister." She learned responsibility early in life.
Some of her younger days were spent in Childress, Texas, living with her paternal grandparents while her father served overseas during World War II. She had many fond memories of the Childress days, caring for a baby deer, building tumbleweed forts, and being spoiled by her grandmother. Her father's career as an Air Corps serviceman allowed the family to live in several states. His final duty station was at Dyess Air Force base in Abilene. That fall, she followed in her mother's footsteps and enrolled at West Texas State University. During her college days, Jane worked at several campus jobs and was elected to three scholastic honor societies.
She served as student assistant in the History Department and as a student counselor for the Hogg Foundation her senior year. That year, Jane was also elected to Who's Who in Colleges and Universities. On Thanksgiving Day 1963, Jane married J. Pat Stephens. She graduated with a B.A. History in 1964 and began her teaching career at Amarillo High School. She later taught History at Hickman High in Columbia, Missouri. Returning to Canyon, Jane taught French and Social Studies at Canyon High through the 1969 school year. On February 21, 1970, Jennifer Kay was born to the Stephens' family and Robert Patrick arrived a year later. Jane raised her family until 1976 when she returned to the classroom at Canyon High.
While caring for her children and teaching, Jane also found time to earn her Master's degree and become a certified counselor. Her formal education never ceased. She earned every educational certification offered by the state of Texas. In 1984, she became Canyon High's counselor and served in that position until 1987 when she was appointed Director of Secondary Curriculum for the Canyon Independent School District. Five years later, Jane became Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and served in that capacity until the school board appointed her Acting Superintendent after Mike King's retirement. But she was the world's best listener. She had that rare gift of really hearing what people said. Her counseling abilities were first rate, and her decision-making was based in a deep concern for others. Her great good sense and sensitivity guided her. These characteristics made her a superb administrator. Best of all, she was a wonderful human being: open, caring, optimistic, cheerful. When you met Jane Stephens, you knew you had just made a friend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Canyon Independent School District Foundation, P.O.
Of all the famous CNN news anchors and broadcasters, Kate Bolduan may not be one that gets enough attention. With the 2016 Presidential Election coming on November 8, 2016, Bolduan has been getting more airtime on CNN. I would like to dedicate this written piece to her. It will not be a straight forward biography of Kate, but rather the article will be about why she is so important in the context of American popular culture. Why should we even pay attention to Kate when there are so many other news broadcasters such as Erin Burnett, Brooke Baldwin, or Fredericka Whitfield? Before we get into these questions, let’s just say that Kate is a graduate of George Washington University, having received her degree in journalism. She graduated with honors, receiving the distinction of Phi Beta Kappa.
Why is Kate Bolduan famous? Kate is famous for being one of the co-anchors of the program "At This Hour" with John Berman. She has worked with Chris Cuomo on the program New Day and the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. She isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions and that’s why some people may not like that. But as a news anchor, you have to be ready to ask the tough questions and the right questions while also not heavily favoring one side. It was just a few days ago on October 4, 2016 that Kate was with a panel of speakers. The subject was about the issue of Donald Trump’s taxes. It was in Virginia that Kate mentioned that it is rare for both candidates to talk about the same issue at the same time.
" That’s a fair and legitimate question to ask. No one can say with a straight face that Mr. Trump is smart for not paying his taxes. I like how Kate was able to maintain her professionalism given what has just happened in the bizarre campaign of Donald Trump. We need more news people like Kate to bring up the issues in a fair manner and to ask the right questions. She laughed at Trump supporter Andre Bauer when he suggested that Donald Trump pays more in taxes than anyone else has in their entire lifetime. 915 million dollar loss? Trump cannot be considered a good businessman but that’s a different topic for a different day.
Kate asked Bauer "Do you really think that’s a winning argument? " I don’t think that Bauer has a winning argument. Bauer represents the typical Trump supporter who will stand by their candidate no matter what they say or do. We are in a very critical election year where the fate of this country is in the balance and Andre Bauer has the audacity to actually claim that Trump pays hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes! Clinton supporter Bakari Sellers revealed on CNN that Donald Trump incurred a 2% net operating loss and that this represents 2% of all the net operating losses in the US!
CNN has actually done stories about Trump not even paying his employees. Kate Bolduan in Washington DC Showing Some Amazing Fashion Sense! In the debate spin room at Hofstra University on September 26, 2016, Bolduan asked Clinton supporter Hillary Rosen her thoughts on what the headlines would be following the first presidential debate. Rosen responded that Clinton would soar to new heights. On a related note, there is no way Donald Trump can compete on the same stage with a more experienced person but I appreciate Kate for even asking the question. Bolduan called that day "the biggest day of the campaign." The first presidential debate was said to have been watched by over 80 million people. Not since the Reagan and Carter debate of 1980 had there been so many viewers.
Bolduan was a witness to one of the most watched events of our lifetime. Why is this important to American popular culture? Leisure Time- the working class of the United States demanded this and always asked for it. Humor-sometimes there is humor used in political discussions but Kate just gets straight down to the issues and asks legitimate questions. Kate Bolduan is such a brave person for even reporting such a story! These are the kinds of people that we need in our news networks! This story shows me that ALL lives matter. With the coverage generated by the death of Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez, we should also have compassion and caring for those children in Syria whose lives are at stake every day of the year.
Yes, the loss of Jose is tragic but all lives matter. And Kate was there to cover this story and to show that even in not so good economic times, we do have things to be grateful for. Since 2011 when there has been civil war in Syria between government forces and the rebels, these children have no guarantee that they will even survive for another day. They have no guarantee that their parents will even be alive when and if these kids grow up to be adults. It is time that the world gave more credit to Kate Bolduan for her tough questions, sympathy, and no-biased covering of some of the most important issues of our time. The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi was founded in 1897 at the University of Maine by 10 senior students, two faculty members, and the school president. Their expressed goal was to create an honor society that was different from the few then in existence—in particular, one that recognized excellence in all academic disciplines. Replies to: Phi Kappa Phi - Worth joining, or basically a scam? Phi Kappa Phi is a legitimate academic honor society, similar to Phi Beta Kappa. Yes . . . It's an honor to be chosen. It's like Phi Beta Kappa except it's broader in scope (PBK is limited to students in the liberal arts). It does have prestige especially if you plan to go to grad school. And there are good scholarships for grad school. I've had students who have gotten them. It's also posible you have an active chapter on your campus. At one university I was at the chapter hosted interesting events and there was a great network of alums that helped students with internships and jobs. It's a nice honor and definitely not a scam.
Particularly if you aren't eligible for Phi Beta Kappa due to your major and/or your school doesn't have a Phi Beta Kappa chapter. Do you have to live in fraternity or sorority housing when you join these greek chapters? I have never understood how it works. My son gets a lot of invitations. I didn't mean to hijack a thread. This is not a fraternity. It is an honorary society which "rewards" academic excellence. At the induction ceremony into the Cum Laude Society at my S's private high school, they asked all parents who were members of college honor societies to stand.
Phi Kappa Phi was in the list of 4 societies. Phi Kappa Phi is real. Son got his letter and invitation last week and the info was sent directly from the college. His college has a ceremony scheduled in April for induction into this honor society. Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa are the two most prominent and well-regarded multi-discipline honor societies, although the latter would likely edge out the former were they to go head-to-head because it is twice as old and established. Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest all-discipline honor society at over 100 years old (Phi Beta Kappa is over 200 years old!), and was the fourth (by some counts the third) honor society established. Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation and limited to the top 7.5% of juniors and top 10% of seniors and grad students.
Selection is not by GPA, and some chapters are more selective than the organization's general class-rank rule. ], for example). Discipline-specific honor societies vary on their selectivity and invite-only status and need to be considered independently. For most legit honor societies, you pay once for initiation (pays for induction ceremony, pin, certificate, one-year publication subscription, scholarship fund, etc.) and then future payments are optional, even though you retain membership status.stvincent.edu If you want to continue to financially support the organization and its mission, you keep sending money. Honor societies exist to recognize and promote academic excellence, and your membership is like membership in any non-profit organization.cabrini.edu You can be on the passive end, just accept the invite, put it on your CV (or hang the cert.
